The 17th Irish Theatre Institute International Theatre Exchange will take place from
7-9 October 2010 at the Coach House, Dublin Castle and other city centre venues.
The annual International Theatre Exchange, which takes place during the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival, is a non-stop encounter with presenters, producers and programmers from across the world aimed at Irish companies and artists that have work ‘ready for export’ or, who are working on projects with an attractive international dimension. Comprising one-to-one meetings, pitching sessions, panel discussions, networking events, showcase and in-development performances, this event is a must for all Irish producers of professional theatre who have an eye to international platforms.

About ITI’s International Theatre Exchange
The International Theatre Exchange is presented annually as a networking event to coincide with the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival. It is a meeting place for invited international presenters and producers to engage with Irish producers, presenters and theatre artists. Many contacts have been made and a number of Irish companies have toured internationally as a direct result of the event. In the past two years alone, companies have been invited to perform in Cape Town, New York, Tampere, London, Wiesbaden, Johannesburg, Toronto, Edinburgh, Paris and Portland.
Irish Theatre Institute is committed to serving the professional theatre and dance community both North and South. Through its networking and promotional work abroad, ITI identifies international presenters who are invited to Dublin each October to meet Irish producers and to see their work. ITI endeavours to invite presenters with a wide range of experience in presenting work and, importantly, people with a specific interest in or track record of presenting Irish work. Significant focus is placed on English language speaking territories (Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK) but increasingly productive relationships have been forged by companies and individual theatre artists in European countries including Finland, Iceland, Germany, Romania, Poland and others. This reflects the global interest in contemporary and classical Irish theatre.
Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
